A single yeast protein comprises the MnHP family as there are no homologues in the databases. This protein is 313 amino acyl residues long and has 7-8 putative transmembrane a-helical spanners. It has been implicated in Mn2+ transport. It is found in the golgi apparatus of the yeast cell.
